An Ice Universe insider a few hours before the presentation of the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra shared information about the performance of the custom Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 For Galaxy processor. In the Geekbench 5 benchmark, the novelty beat its closest competitors running Android.
So, the Galaxy S23 Ultra with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for Galaxy chip scored 1,573 points in a single—core test and 5,060 in a multi-core test. This is almost a twofold increase in performance when compared with last year’s flagship Samsung. Such high power is due to the use of a custom Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 with an overclocked processor.
Apparently, immediately after the release of the Galaxy S23 Ultra, it may turn out to be the most powerful device on the market — among Android smartphones, the Geekbench record currently belongs to OnePlus 11. The Chinese flagship with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip, which received 1329 and 4767 in single-core and multi-core tests, respectively.
The announcement of smartphones of the Samsung Galaxy S23 series will take place on February 1.
